What is the CMF HYPERGUIDE®?

The CMF HYPERGUIDE® contains tutorials in the following areas: Trauma, Deformity, Cancer and Other Diseases, and General Topics

Tutorials provide you with an overview of important topics and focus on areas such as clinical and radiographic features, diagnosis, risk factors, evaluation, treatment options, and patient outcomes. Throughout each tutorial, you will be able to access images including clinical photographs, radiographs, and magnetic resonance images. If you would like additional information on a specific topic, bibliographies are included at the conclusion of each tutorial.

Who will benefit from accessing the information posted on the CMF HYPERGUIDE®?

The CMF HYPERGUIDE® offers a comprehensive review course through the World Wide Web to residents, practicing physicians, nurses, and operating room technicians.

The information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can explore the material at your own pace and convenience.

How do I access the CMF HYPERGUIDE®?

Anyone can access the OPHTHALMIC Hyperguide® homepage. However, to follow links into the content areas, you must provide an E-mail address and Password. To request access to the entire site, click on the New User button.

You will be prompted to provide your E-mail and Password on the OPHTHALMIC Hyperguide® homepage each time that you visit. Upon entering your information for the first time, you will be asked to complete a brief registration form.

What are the minimum PC requirements needed to access the CMF Hyperguide®?

Is there a cost to access the CMF HYPERGUIDE® or obtain CME?

The CMF HYPERGUIDE® is a free educational Web site for the CMF community. There is no cost for you to access the CMF HYPERGUIDE® or to obtain CME credits. The Web site and the cost of CME are supported as an educational service by Stryker® Corporation. The Web site does not include any product advertisements.

How can I earn CME credits on the CMF HYPERGUIDE®?

Vindico Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The time that you spend on the CMF HYPERGUIDE® will be monitored for the purpose of issuing CME credit. Vindico Medical Education designates this educational activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

After you log on to the CMF HYPERGUIDE®, read the CME objectives and instructions for obtaining credit. This information can be found by clicking on the "CME Information" button that is located on the left side of the page.

Time that you spend on the CMF HYPERGUIDE® is not cumulative from session to session - you must apply for CME credit at the end of each session. If you leave the Web site before applying for credit, you will not receive credit for that session. You must NOT hit refresh or resize your browser window.

Applying for credit is fast and simple: Before ending your session, select the "CME Information" button on the left side of the page. Complete and submit the electronic registration and evaluation forms. Upon confirmation of your activity, Vindico Medical Education will award a CME certificate instantaneously through email.

International Users. If your country recognizes United States-approved CME as valid credits in medical education, then the credits you can earn on the CMF HYPERGUIDE® can be applied to your country's continuing medical education program.
